In May 2019, the Roscommon Gaels All Stars team was launched. This was a team for children with additional needs who came every week for the entire summer to learn to kick a ball, swing a hurl, to play and above all have fun. This was a hugely successful, feel good initiative for all involved – the children, the parents, the volunteers and of course, the club itself.
In August 2019 the Club entered the initiative into a Spórt TG4 national competition to promote an aspect of the club that everyone was proud of. The hard work paid off when the club won the overall first prize which was a new Subaru Impreza. We are very grateful to Spórt TG4 & Subaru Ireland for running the competition it has been a huge boost to our club. One of the rules of the competition stipulates that the winning entry must raffle the car to raise funds for the club. All monies raised will be invested to purchase specific equipment for our All Stars team and to continue to develop our facilities for the 33 teams we field. To conclude, while All Star awards are hard to come by in many counties, in Roscommon Gaels there is one group of little All Stars the whole club is very proud of.

The Five areas are: Coaching and Games Club Management Finance & Fundraising Club Development & Facilities Culture, Community & PR. Works in Lisnamult Our next phase of development work in Lisnamult is to upgrade our car parking facilities and sports wall surface. Health and safety is of utmost importance and we are conscious of the safety of everyone using our facilities and attending training, games etc. The works proposed comprise of: - Resurfaced, properly drained and marked carpark - Drop off zone - 900m2 astro surface at the sports wall with fencing and lighting - New car park spaces adjacent to the main pitch These developments will improve the safety of our members and supporters and they will provide a playing surface that can be used during adverse weather conditions when the pitches are not playable. Works on the development is expected to start end of 2019 with drainage completed first. Parking and an All weather surface was considered to allow both players and parent to enjoy the facilities in Lisnamult. New carparking will be provided near the main pitch to ensure adequate parking is available during training session.
